Bethany has recently finished fourth grade at Parker
Elementary School in Cortland, NY and is looking forward to summertime at the lake with her mom and her Nana and Papa. She
has had a wonderful school year with great grades, and really enjoyed having Mr. Vakkas for a teacher. She has finished
her first year on the oboe, including her first band concert, as well as another season of piano lessons and ballet class
(she performed great in "Alice in Wonderland" last month). She has been chosen for Select Band next year!
Her Dad is really proud of her: Recently she won a number
of awards - the 4th grade highest average award, both the instrumental music and vocal music awards, the Harmony award for
character, High Accelerated Reader, and the Triple C award (character, courage, citizenship). Dad and Beth spent a great Father's
Day picnicking, playing frisbee golf (Beth's first time on a real course!), and shopping. A "Central New York labyrinth hunt"
is planned for some time in the near future :)
